About Me

Hey y'all! I'm Amy, the sole maker behind everything you see here! I handcraft everything in my small home studio located in coastal NC. All that you see has been crafted with my hands, some tools, needle & thread, metal, & fire! Being born & raised in NE NC, I know no life away from water. We're surrounded by rivers, sounds, swamps, marshes & in my opinion, some of the best beaches on the East coast. My work is heavily influenced by my coastal life & love for where I live, work & play!

I get the best of both worlds where I live in the country with my mini farm of  animals (currently owned by 29 babes with fur & feathers) & yet I'm less than an hour from the Outer Banks & minutes from a river or sound to kayak fish when I want to! 

After being a portrait photographer for the last 15 years, I needed another creative outlet. I fell in love with bead weaving & taught myself & began making earrings. Still craving something more but not yet knowing what, metalsmithing found me. I'm self taught give or take a couple online classes & an in person class that taught the basics! It's a slow craft that involves a lot of trial & error, perseverance, determination, problem solving, & keeps my mind & my hands active!
